The Lion and The Lamb

The Lion and The Lamb

The lion, which is mightiest among beast and does not turn back before any. Proverbs 30:30 Lions are the mightiest animal in the animal kingdom. They turn back for no other animal. They are not afraid of elephants or zebras because they know they are the king of the jungle. They rule the land and the Bible often times reminds us that God is our King, our lion. God does not turn back for anyone or anything.  Kym De Los Reyes was inspired by our Ultimate Lion, God, when she created The Lion and The Lamb series. She is constantly overwhelmed with...

Artist Highlight: Tessa Smith

Artist Highlight: Tessa Smith

Tessa Smith joined the Christenberry Collection team during the craziest year {ever} and we could not love her more. Social media is such a powerful tool, it connects people and artists from all over the world to a network they otherwise would have never known. Tessa had always loved the artwork that came out of Christenberry Collection, and when she and I connected through Instagram, I knew she had to join our team! Art has always been a part of Tessa's life, even as a kid. Art had an even larger presence in her life when she was in high school...

Timeless: By Kelly Pelfrey

Timeless: By Kelly Pelfrey

Timeless By: Kelly Pelfrey Kelly Pelfrey has a passion for life scenes that include items of “timeless treasures.” Quarantine only grew that passion as Kelly had time to truly enjoy the reflections of reflections in silver, on vintage glass, or light bouncing off of a blue and white piece of porcelain.  She would sit and think about the rich history held in these objects around her home and in photos of time's tale. There were mothers and grandmothers (and perhaps fathers and grandfathers) who first picked out these vessels to host friends and family in their homes.  There are the artisans,...

Basket Ladies + 'August' Collection

Reminiscing On The Crowns of Glory Series by Shields Catone. This series was all about the daily burdens we carry as women. Women are constantly trying to juggle all of the duties and ideals that today's society has placed on our heads.  {hello Pinterest perfect life... yeah right}.  In uncertain times {like 2020} Shields found herself overwhelmed by the bigger picture, and began to hyper focused on what impact she can make in her circle of relationships. Which lead her to feel burdened and when she remembered that word, burden, she remembered one important fact: Traditionally, a basket or bundle carried on ones...

Simple Delights Are All Around US

Jeremiah 9:24 "but let him who boasts, boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord. Simple Delights. Kelly Pelfrey launched a series with us called Simple Delights and she straight put all of our hearts in a place of sweet reminder that sometimes the simple things are the answer. A drink of tea on a porch with an old friend, a set table in anticipation of a dinner with family, or a cold piece of fruit on...

Eggshell Art, Who Would Have Thought?

Eggshell Art, Who Would Have Thought?

Have you seen our latest Christenberry Collection artist? Elisa Sheehan is a New York artist who has a VERY interesting style of art. She paints eggshells. Yep, you heard me right, EGGSHELLS. What started as a studio warm-up exercise has turned into this ever-growing and expanding collection of artwork. Elisa spent the cold New York mornings doodling and cleaning eggshells to warm up her body and mind. Over time, the collection of eggshells grew and she began painting them beautiful colors.  Inevitably, an eggshell fell to the floor and shattered. As Elisa picked up the broken organic pieces, she remembered the ancient...

Beach House Blog

It is no secret I love pretty homes with pretty art! Working on projects with designers and clients is my JAM and why I started Christenberry Collection. When a client asked me to help with her beach house in Litchfield, South Carolina I was super excited {to say the least}! We started in the master bedroom with Oyster art over the bed by Cynthia Huston. Oysters are a symbol of a great beach weekend in South Carolina and because of this we had to incorporate Oyster art first. We felt passionate about keeping the color palette and beach vibe going in the master...

Art Brings Us Together While We Are Apart

Art Brings Us Together While We Are Apart

People are sick. People are dying. Our communities have come to a halt and the global economy is closer to death than it has been in decades (maybe ever). Our 401Ks look like we have barely contributed to them and many have lost their jobs or the business they worked so hard to build. Life as we know it has been turned upside down in a matter of weeks.

You must be thinking... What a way to start a blog post?! But stick with me.
