Life often gets interrupted. We are challenged in tough situations to look for the hope, to believe that the outcome will be good. God interrupted my life this year and placed a little girl in my arms and said , "love her!" ... My first reaction was no say , no way! We are too old for a four year old, we are an all boy household. We are nearly empty nesters .... our next oldest child is 16. And God, I didn't even sign up to do foster care . But here we are, six months later and she has shown us what hope looks like. It's bright and colorful, filled with a natural beauty like God's creation. This collection has been produced on repurposed canvasses..... because just like this little girl, God gives us all second chances. And sometimes what's underneath provides the foundation for something beautiful. And I pray that when you hang a piece from The Second Chances collection on your wall that you are reminded of the beauty of a life filled with hope seen through the eyes of a child. Because she told me what to paint!
