Flowers are my first love. Particularly wildflowers. Delicate stems with a small punch of attractive pedals. I painted them for years and took breaks for years. Always searching for the right way to celebrate their beauty. I use a collection of floral photographers and designers as inspiration. I used their resources for these delicate and rare flowers while incorporating some of my childhood wildflowers. I want to create beauty with depth, lines to suggest structure, and paints to emphasize the most delicate qualities. The arrangement must be open wide, full of light and air. Symbolizing hope and gratitude. Celebrating something we can not imagine on our own - the beauty of nature.
